Mr. Shakeri, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, on Monday, May 9, 2011, met with Ms. Samina Khalid Ghurki, Pakistan's Minister for Environment.

In this meeting, beside holding talks on the ways and means for cooperation between the two countries on environmental preservation, a copy of the invitation letter of H.E. Mr. Mohammadizadeh, Vice President and Head of the Environmental preservation Organization of Iran, for attending the meeting of the Environmental Preservation of ministers from the ECO member-stats, to be held in May 2011 in Tehran, was presented to her.
Ms. Samina Khalid Ghurki, while thanking for the paid invitation, expressed the hope for attending the Tehran meeting She, while referring to numerous spheres for joint cooperation in the field of environmental preservation at bilateral, regional and international levels, announced her country's support for bolstering and expanding such relations.
