On Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, farewell ceremony of H.E. Mr. Masha’allah Shakeri, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, was held with the presence of the Chairman and professors of the National language Authority, Islamabad.

In this ceremony, the Chairman and a number of the professors of Farsi language, while referring to the service of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during the tenure of his office in Pakistan, thanked and lauded them for their efforts aimed at boosting ties between the two countries, and promoting the Farsi language,

In this meeting, H.E. Mr. Shakeri, too, while describing the ties between the two countries as significant in view of the common cultural heritage, called for further promotion of Farsi and Urdu languages as the language of identity section of a nation of the people of the two countries, and cooperation between the Farsi Language Research Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad, and the National Language Authority.
