H.E. Syed Mehdi Shah, Chief Minister of Gilgit Baltistan Region, this morning (Monday) met and conferred with H.E. Mr. Haghighian at the premises of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad.

In this meeting, the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Region, while welcoming the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and referring to the potential of the said region in economic, cultural, tourism and energy spheres, called for the cooperation of the said sectors of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Gilgit-Baltistan Region.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during this meeting, laid stress on the expansion of ties between Iran and Pakistan, and utilization of the potential of the Gilgit-Baltistan Region for further development of relations.
