On Sunday, November 13, 2011, a charity fair was held by the Women's Society of the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan at Serena Hotel in Islamabad. This fair was participated by nearly 20 foreign missions.

With the efforts of the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and with the cooperation of Pakistan's Ministry of Religious Affairs, the International Hajj Conference was held on September 27, 28, 2011 at Marriott Hotel of Islamabad.

H.E. Mr. Najjar, Honourable Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, paid a two-day visit to Islamabad from Sept. 28, 2011 at the head of a high-ranking delegation.

Eighteenth Joint Economic Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was held on September 7-8, 2011 in Islamabad.

H.E. Mr. Aghai'e, Head of the Development Commission of the Iranian Parliament, who had came to Islamabad in order to hand over the invitation message of H.E. Dr. Larijani, Honourable Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, in his meeting with Mr. Farooq Nayek, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, and while handing over the message to him, expressed the hope that Mr.  Nayek would participate in the Seminar in Support of Palestinian Intifada to be held in October 2011 in Tehran,

Mr. Aghai'e, Head of the Development Commission of the Iranian Parliament, in his meeting with Dr. Fahmeeda Mirza, speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, presented an invitation letter from H.E. Mr. Larijani, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, to her.

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and promotion of Quranic culture, an exhibition, including a collection of Quranic manuscripts dating back to 8th to 12th century A.H. was inaugurated on Agu. 6, 2011, at the venue of the Iran- Pakistan Institute of Persian Studies.

The Iranology Centre and the laboratory of the Persian language was inaugurated in the Persian language and literature Deptt of the NUML on the 21st of June 2011 in an official ceremony where in His Excellency the ambassador of Iran Mashallah Shakri, the Cultural Counselor of Iran, Ali Aghanoori and rector NUML Prof Dr Aziz Ahmed Khan were present along with a number of University teachers and other guests.

The Seventh meeting of Pak-Iran Joint Committee on Road Transportation was held from June 6-7, 2011 in Islamabad.

To mark the 22rd  death anniversary of Hazrat Imam Khomeini (R.A), a seminar titled "Thought of Imam Khomeini (R.A) and contemporary era " was held on June 2, 2011, at the Hall of the National Library of Pakistan.
