Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.)'s Birth Anniversary and Women Day Celebrated

June 2, 2010 : A grand religious ceremony was held at Islamabad to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hazart Fatima-Zahra (S.A) which is celebrated as Women Day by Muslims throughout the world.

This ceremony was held at the Mosque of Iran Embassy's residential colony on Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Shagufta Mousavi, University Professor from Pakistan and Dr.Zainab Karbalai, Faculty Member of an Iranian University addressed the audiences on topics of "Personality of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.), the beloved daughter of Holy Prophet (S.A.W.)” and the “Status of Women in Islam".

In this ceremony which was attended by a large number of Iranians living in Pakistan, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, H.E Mr. Masha'allah Shakeri, gave presents to the girls and women who are named Fatima or Zahra.

Imam Hussain (A.S) School Children based in Islamabad sang verses  praising Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.) during this ceremony.
