Ceremony commemorating the International Ghods Day was held in the evening of the last Friday in the Holy month of Ramadan on Aug. 25, 11 with the participation of political and religious official as well as media persons and diplomats at the premises of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad.
At the outset of the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, after welcoming the guests, in a speech turned the "Ghods Day" as the day of Islam, and while denouncing the crimes of the Zionist regime and referring to the initiative of Imam Khomeini ( RA) in naming " Ghods Day" drew the attention of the audience to the importance of the "Ghods Day" .
In this ceremony, the Ambassador of Palestine , as the second speaker, dwelt upon the aspiration of Palestine, formation of independent state of Palestine, and the crimes of the Zionist regime in massacring the Palestinian people, and lauded the Iranian support for the ideal of the palestinians.
In continuation, Mr. Imran Khan, Chairman of Insaf Movement of Pakistan, in his capacity as the special guest of the ceremony, spoke about the uprising of the people of Palestine against the occupiers of Ghods, and support extended by Pakistan and the world community, to the aspirations of the Palestinian people.
This ceremony concluded with the recitation of a song by the Recitation Chorus Group" from Iran.
