The mourning ceremonies on the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hossain (A.S) were held on the days and nights of 9^th of Moharram and Ashura were in the mosque of the Iranian diplomats' housing complex located in Islamabad. Due to the advent of the month of Moharram, mourning ceremonies pertaining to the martyrdom of the Leader of Martyrs were held from the first night to the 11^th night of Moharram with the presence of all the Iranian families at the premises of the Mosque and participation of the clergyman and the euologist from Iran, and with the participation of the Iranian families.

On the day of Ashura, the Iranian nationals, by organizing a mourning group, revived the memory of this great day, and shed tears to mourn the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hossain (A.S) and his loyal companions.
