In connection with the 33rd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, National Day reception of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the International Serena Hotel, Islamabad.

In this ceremony where a number of political, religious, university and media authorities as well as diplomats and the resident Iranians were present, the Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Incharge of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources participated as the special guest.

On Saturday, February 11, 2012, a glorious celebration, with the attendance of the resident Iranians as well as the presence of the personnel of the Embassy and the Iranian institutions stationed in Islamabad, was held at the premises of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this ceremony, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while offering greetings on the advent  of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, in a speech about the trend of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, explained the role of Hazrat Imam Khomeini (R.A) in guiding the Revolution  and the people, and also  neutralizing the plots hatched by the internal and external enemies following the victory of the Revolution and status of the Islamic Republic of Iran in scientific and technological spheres under the leadership of the Exalted Leader. Later, the group on recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran in chorus and also the musical group from Iran presented their program in the ceremony.

In this ceremony, the school students from Imam Hussain (A.S) Complex too, through declamation and signing various revolutionary songs added to the zeal and excitement of the celebration of the anniversary of the victory of the Revolution. In conclusion of this ceremony, there was held a contest, and prizes were awarded to the winners by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
