"The Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey are like brothers with the same interests while facing the same threats. If the two nations stand together, they would be able to seize opportunities and overcome all threats," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday receiving Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Chief Executive referred to foreign powers active in the region as the root cause of all economic and security challenges. He asserted that the more cooperation among the neighboring countries the less opportunities for foreign powers to meddle.

The President asserted that the region and even the world would be benefited from Iran-Turkey cooperation.

President Ahmadinejad stated that the 60 year old ruling system in the West had proved futile both in theory and practice.

He asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey could increase their joint efforts to become a model for the West which required thoughtful planning.

President Ahmadinejad expressed his satisfaction at the Turkish Prime Minister' stance against the Zionist regime and said it made the world of Islam happy. He spoke of the Zionist regime as a threat to the region ready to annex the entire region to its land.

The President also thanked the Turkish Prime Minister stance on Iran's nuclear issue and stated that without justice nothing could be set right.

"When an illegitimate regime has nuclear weapons in its keeping no one can deny other countries from their rights to have peaceful nuclear technology," President Ahmadinejad said.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan in return said Turkey is determined to develop its relation with Iran and stated that nuclear disarmament begins at home.

Turkish Prime Minister expressed his country's support for Iran's admission to Nabucco gas pipeline international project.
