A media delegation comprising reporters from Tehran Times, Iran Daily, Iran News, Press TV and Mehr News Agency and Taghreeb paid a one-week visit to Pakistan on the invitation of the Islamabad Study Institute in order to meet with the media managers and political authorities of this country, and toured the cities of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

The said delegation, during its three-day stay in Islamabad (from December 15 to 17-2011), while meeting the officials of the Islamabad Study Institute, also called on the Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Federal Minister for Information  & Broadcasting, and the Managing Director of the Associated Press in islamabad.

This delegation also met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Embassy premises, and explained the purpose of its visit. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, too, delivered a speech concerning the role of media in bolstering ties between the two countries, namely, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan.
