Visit of Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Islamabad

H.E. Mr. Najjar, Honourable Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, paid a two-day visit to Islamabad from Sept. 28, 2011 at the head of a high-ranking delegation. During this visit, the Iranian delegation, while meeting the top Pakistani authorities including the President, the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister, discussed and exchanged views about the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran concerning  assistance to the flood-hit people, and donating relief assistance besides expansion of bilateral relations.
Alongside this visit, a relief delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, comprising the heads of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Housing Foundation and the crisis Management Organization, while meeting the Pakistani counterparts, discussed and held talks concerning the manner of utilization of U.S $ 100 million assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the reconstruction and repair of the flood-hit regions.
H.E. Mr. Najjar, while visiting Karachi on Sept. 28, 2011, delivered a part of the assistance, gifted by the people and Government of the Iran worth US $ 500,000 to the Chief Minister of Sind province.
