A media delegation comprising reporters from Tehran Times, Iran Daily, Iran News, Press TV and Mehr News Agency and Taghreeb paid a one-week visit to Pakistan on the invitation of the Islamabad Study Institute in order to meet with the media managers and political authorities of this country, and toured the cities of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

224 members of the Iranian Parliament, while signing a statement, denounced the American massacre and crimes in Pakistan. Full text of this statement, which was read out today in the open session of the Iranian Parliament, is as follows:

The Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards Corps of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a message addressed to the Chief of Pakistan's Ground Force, while condoling the death of 28 Pakistani military men in the aggressive attack of the American and NATO helicopters against the soil of Pakistan, has condemned this action.

- At a news conference on October 11, 2011, U.S. Attorney General claimed a plot had been foiled involving men allegedly linked to the Islamic republic of Iran to kill the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. and that a person named Mansour Arbabsiar has been arrested in connection with the said plot.

The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran is planning to hold the 18th International Exhibition of Press and News Agencies from 25th of October to 1st of November 2011 in Tehran with participation of various local and international media.
