Ms. Tayyabeh Safa’ie and Ms. Laleh Eftekhari, (Respective Head and Spokesperson of the women’s Wing of Majlis Shura Islami (Parliament ) of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who had attended a seminar  entitled “ Role of women in awakening the Islamic Ummah “ organized by Ahlebait (A.S) Welfare Society and Khadijatol Kobra (A.S) Society in Lahore last week, delivered speeches in a gathering of participants and scholars.

The said delegation had, during its visit to Islamabad, too, besides attending a seminar entitled “Role of women in Islamic Awakening” at Islamic International University, Islamabad, also toured the Persian Language Research Center, and a number of academic and university institutions of Pakistan.

The esteemed members of Majlis Shura Islami ( Parliament) of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during their visit to Pakistan, also met with Dr. Firdaus Ashiq Awan, Federal Minister for Information  and Broadcasting, the Governor of Punjab, and the Speaker of Punjab Provincial Assembly, and held talks on various ways of expansion of cooperation between the two countries specially in the parliamentary sphere .
